Yummy and unique food! Lots of great vegan options! It's very busy and there can be a wait, but once you sit down, your food comes out insanely fast. I think if this place was not hyped up so much I would rate it a 5, but my expectations were very high. I ordered the vegan scallion pancake, dan dan noodles, basil eggplant, peanut salad, and bok choy dumplings. The basil eggplant was delicious and came with a side of fresh rice. The Dan Dan noodles had a nice creamy peanut sauce, but to be honest, I think we're too hyped up. The dumplings had a great homemade wonton and came with a yummy sauce, but there was a herb or spice aftertaste that I did not love. The scallion pancake was only OK - I prefer them to be thinner and more flaky. I would skip the peanut salad- not the best and literally just peanuts with herbs. The mapo tofu is very popular, but I did not have a chance to try it. My non-vegan partner ordered the jidori chicken, which he enjoyed. Overall, I would definitely come at least once to try.

Usually my go to for Chinese food cravings but I feel like over the past few years the portions have gotten smaller and a little less flavorful. I usually get the pan fried buns and beef noodle soup but decided to keep it lighter with Dan Dan noodles and lotus root cold app. We also ordered the minced pork over rice that was a little dry but still tasted good.

LOVE that this place has a large selection of Taiwanese food but also so many Taiwanese desserts that are harder to find! I came here a while ago in college and visited again years later and the food is still just as yummy as I remembered it to be. The xiao long baos are good but my favorite has to be their ru rou fan (minced pork rice!) The only thing is parking can be a littttle tough sometimes but totally worth it! Don't forget to try their desserts as well, its so hard to find douhua at places that don't specialize in dessert but they carried it and it was REALLY good even better than some dessert only places! Definitely should check it out if you're in the area! Also did I mention fair pricing???? Whats not to love

Really yummy! It's like eating at a local Taiwanese spot. Everything was delicious, light & refreshing. The cold salad choices all looked delicious. We opted for the fungus mushroom one and it was soo good. The dan dan noodles were our favorite. I wish they incorporated more spice into the dishes but there is chili oil available to add to your liking on the tables. We were able to order and get seated within 5 minutes.

i'm sick right now and am ordering delivery quite often. pine & crane has been the best takeout i've had so far. i ordered the vegan mapo tofu with mushrooms, the shrimp wonton soup with pork broth and some greens, and a side of the peanut salad. all fresh, nourishing, delicious, and thoughtfully packaged. thank you to the back of house staff for the wonderful food. i think i do prefer this location to dtla, though the outdoor ambiance downtown is lovely. many older reviews (5+ years) mention organic produce. i'd be curious to know what the restaurant's current organic offering is considering how price gouging is rampant across all industries these days.

I recently visited Pine & Crane, and had an outstanding dining experience. The ambiance is casual yet chic, with a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. We ordered the dan dan noodles and shrimp wontons, both of which were delicious. The dan dan noodles had a perfect balance of flavors, with a delightful kick from the spices. The shrimp wontons were tender and flavorful, making for a satisfying dish. A standout was the chili oil served on the side. It was so good that we ended up buying a jar to take home. The chili oil added a wonderful depth of flavor and heat to the dishes, enhancing the overall experience. Pine & Crane offers a great selection of Taiwanese-inspired dishes, and the quality of the food is top-notch. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to enjoy flavorful, authentic cuisine in a cozy setting. I'll definitely be returning to try more of their menu.

This place deserves a large bump purely because of the value. The food is all reasonably priced relative to other asian restaurants in LA. We ordered the dan dan noodles, wontons, beef roll, and scallion pancake. All their dishes were subtly tasty. It doesn't blast you with too much heat or flavor but still quite satisfying. The lack of depth of flavor in each dish is probably would brings this down to 4 stars. Beyond that the Silverlake location space is very cozy with a big communal table for different groups to eat at. The staff are friendly and service was quick and responsive. You order your food at the counter then it gets brought to your table pretty quickly. I'd be very happy having this place as a local favorite!
